How safe is hypnosis? In our hypnosis audios, you will not fall asleep (unless you decide to or are just too tired), and you will not lose control. Our self hypnosis audios have a therapeutic purpose (contrary to shows or movies). They will help you relax and activate your parasympathetic system. Remember that self hypnosis is a naturally occurring state. You have experienced it many times. You will not cluck like a chicken or be made to eat an onion thinking it is an apple. You can also release yourself from your own trance at any time. It is not possible to stay in a trance state.

I do not think I was hypnotized. How can I be sure that I was hypnotized? This is the most commonly asked question. The reason is that most people will associate hypnosis with sleep. The word hypnosis comes from the Greek “hypnosis” which means sleep. The person who coined the word hypnosis, Dr Braid, mistook deep relaxation for sleep. If you think about the many times you were hypnotized (in front of a movie, while reading a book or driving…), You were far from being asleep. Hypnosis is merely a state of relaxation where the subconscious is open to new thoughts and ideas. If after the session you feel more relaxed and more able to cope, then you have experienced a hypnotic state.

When and how should I listen to your audios? We advise you to use headphones to benefit from the stereo recordings which will help you stay focused. But you can listen to the audios without headphones. Some people like to listen to the downloads in the evening, before going to bed. You can listen to the downloads anytime. Can I use more than one self-hypnosis session at a time? You can use more than one self-hypnosis audios when the two contribute to the same goal, for instance getting slimmer and exercising more. It is advisable to keep the maximum number of audios to two. Remember a time when you had to learn skills. If you were to learn too many skills, you might have felt overwhelmed and in the medium and long-term, your recollection of these skills were more likely to be disappointing. But if you first mastered one skill, then learning the second skill gets much easier and you might even be able to improve on the techniques used in the second skills set.
